Colorado House District 61 Representative, Roger Wilson, stopped briefly in Gunnison on October 2, 2011 between visits to Lake City and Crested Butte. Wilson gave an overview of the legislative concerns that he has been hearing from constituents on this most recent tour of the district.

Wilson explained that, based on current revenue projections, the Colorado budget will probably need to be cut an additional $500 million this next legislative session. Nevertheless, Wilson pledged to support the needs of House District 61 (Gunnison, Hinsdale, Pitkin, and sections of Garfield and Eagle counties). Wilson carefully noted a wide range of concerns while conferring with the crowd that gathered on the deck of “The Bean” in Gunnison.
